Sleeping with the Sandman
So it all started with the library. See, my family and I…we went to the library to get our cards and all so we can avail of their services yadayadayada…then it so happened that while scanning their humongous library shelves, my eyes caught a small novel with the words NEIL GAIMAN: SMOKE AND MIRRORS…So obviouosly, being the Neil gaiman freak that I am, I took it, bwahahhaha….then, I noticed that there was actually a graphic novels section! (This is something I never saw in STC’s library and it is heaven!) And guess what I saw? Several volumes of Sandman!!!! Neil Gaiman’s epic comic! Or graphic novel, whichever you would preer. And i was like, aaaaaaaaaaaaarrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give ‘em to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUt of course, I was already cradling way too much books for me to carry, so I contented myself with two volumes. I mean, I’d be coming back right? So! I can have all the summer for myself, drowning in Sandman with the Endless and -fukk - Neil Gaiman, for that matter.
I know this sounds so geekish. But shut up and wait til yu read Sandman. And I know this was like sooooooo 90s, but I never saw Sandman in any library in Cebu, (friends’ and friends’ friends’ included). And so, of course, I would freak myself out. Like right now. Im ranting! Ranting to people I don’t even know would read this! LMFAO
But I don’t really care. Just go get yourself a copy. Please. And you’ll know what it’s like to be half-sane, half-not. hahahaha
